ZEROWATER 2-PACK REPLACEMENT FILTER
The ZeroWater filtration system combines FIVE sophisticated technologies that work together to remove virtually all dissolved solids from your tap water, delivering you great tasting water. These are the only pour-through filters on the market certified by the NSF to reduce lead.
ZeroWater filtration also reduces 99% of all Fluoride from your water.
ZEROWATER 5-STAGE DUAL ION-EXCHANGE FILTER FEATURES:
Certified* to reduce Lead and Chromium
Premium 5-Stage Dual-Ion
Exchange filtration system Ion-Exchange system that removes virtually all dissolved solids in your water
The FDA requires the TDS level in PURIFIED bottled water to reach 000-010ppm.
ZeroWater is the only filter in its class to achieve this level.
NOTE: In the factory, the filters are rinsed with purified water before being packaged in order to wash away the free carbon particles that are produced during the manufacturing process, as one of the filter layers is a carbon filter. It is normal to find some water when you open a new filter bag.
ZeroWater’s Premium 5-Stage Filtration
Removes 99.6% of Dissolved Solids, including Lead.
Certified to Reduce Lead
ZeroWater's first layer of filtration, activated carbon and oxidation reduction alloy removes the chlorine taste you are accustom to with tap water.
The Ion Exchange stage removes virtually all dissolved solids that may be left over from public water systems or even leached into your water from piping such as Aluminum, Lead, Zinc, Nitrate and more.
Three additional stages are included to remove other contaminants and to ensure your water receives the appropriate amount of treatment time to deliver a "000" reading on your laboratory-grade Total Dissolved Solids meter included.
Stage 1: Coarse filter to remove fine particles/sediment.
Stage 2: Distributor that maximizes contact time.
Stage 3: Multi-layer system using activated carbon and oxidation reduction alloy.
Stage 4: Comprehensive ION EXCHANGE array.
Stage 5: Non-woven membrane to remove fine particles.
The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water treatment device are not necessarily in all users' water.
AND WHEN SHOULD YOU REPLACE THE FILTER?
Unfortunately it is not possible to give an exact lifespan for the filter.
This is because the amount of contamination is different per water tap.
In order to know when you should replace the filter, you receive a free TDS meter with each jug.
You put this in the water every week to test whether it is time to replace the filter.
Would you like to know more about the TDS meter or how you assemble the water jug?
Please read the complete manual. (LINK HERE)
Do not use with water that is microbiological unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection.
Unless stated otherwise, municipal water is drinkable.
Filtered potable tap water tested by an independent lab (not the FDA) to meet specifically the water quality requirements for using the label purified.
Compared to water produced by leading gravity fed filters.
AMOUNT OF WATER CAN BE CLEANED
The water inspection device (TDS meter) is calibrated and ready for use.
The TDS meter shows the number of dissolved particulates in water in parts per million
(1 ppm = 1 milligram of dissolved solids per liter of water).
When dissolved particulates in water are present (according to TDS evidence):
from 002 to 050 ppm (low polluted water) – clears ~ 150 liters
from 051 to 200 ppm (the most common contamination) – clears from 95 to 150 liters
from 201 to 300 ppm (a lot of particulate matter) – clearsfrom 55 to 9 5 liters
from 301 to 400 ppm (particle very much) – clears from 30 to 55 liters
above 401 ppm (particle extremely high) – clears 30 liters or less
HOW DOES THE WATER FILTER WORK?
By filtering all dissolved substances from the water, you are left with pure water.
ZEROWATER FILTER INCLUDES:
WHAT IS TDS?
*Increased levels of TDS (total dissolved solids) may affect taste and appearance of your water.
ZeroWater Technology is the only water filtration system to remove 99.6% of TDS, equivalent to TDS in purified bottled water.
Below are the performance results of ZeroWater’s 5-stage filter vs. a conventional filter for inorganic chemicals as listed under the EPA’s national primary drinking water regulations and contaminants listed under the EPA’s secondary drinking water standards. Results shown are based on a 150 litre filtration, double the rated usage to ensure consumer safety.
Test results as performed by 3rd party laboratory is based on NSF/ANSI testing protocol of pour through devices for contaminants listed under the National Primary Drinking Water Standards.

Challenge Water Preparation:
The Metals challenge water was prepared by adding the appropriate amount of reagent standard to 20 Litres of water to get a concentration stated by the NSF/ANSI standard 42 or 53 for each metals, except for those metals that are not included in the NSF/ANSI standard, these metals were prepared 10 times the concentration of the EPA drinking water limit for that particular metal. The challenge water was passed through each filter, side by side, at a rate of 1 litre, 45 minutes load/45 minutes rest, and a filtered water sample was taken from each filter after 20 litres and tested for each metal using the EPA method 200.8 except for Iron that was tested using SM 3111-B. Adjusted the pH to 6.5 and 8.5 for all contaminants and the average of the two results was reported for each metal.
The compounds tested are compounds listed by EPA as Primary and Secondary drinking water contaminants. The compounds tested are also listed by the NSF/ANSI Standard 53 and Standard 42 with established procedures for filter manufactures reduction claims. The procedure used in this comparison study were based on the NSF/ANSI standards 42 and 53, 2018 editions. The methods of analysis used in this study are EPA approved methods for drinking water.
NSF - founded in 1944 as the National Sanitation Foundation, changed name to NSF International in 1990, expanded services beyond sanitation and into global markets. The letters in organization's name do not represent any specific words today. Manufacturers, regulators and consumers look to NSF International for the development of public health standards and certification programs that help protect the world’s food, water, consumer products and environment. NSF International mission is to protect and improve global human health. As an independent, accredited organization facilitates the development of standards, and service groups test and certify products and systems, also provide auditing and risk management solutions for public health and the environment.
